The Office for Faculty Affairs (OFA), as part of its mission to support the academic advancement and career satisfaction of the faculty, offers an array of annual faculty development programs, including a faculty orientation, the Eleanor and Miles Shore 50th Anniversary Fellowship Program, and the HMS Leadership Development for Physicians and Scientists. Throughout the academic year, members of the OFA regularly lead seminars and presentations on the promotion process and CV guidelines. One-on-one CV review meetings are also conducted upon request; reviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis within available times.

Since 2007, the OFA has shared best practices and partnered with members of the Consortium of Harvard Affiliated Offices and Centers for Faculty Development and Diversity (CHADD). Members include the:
