**Description:** This 60-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute Q&A, provides an overview of the Assistant Professor promotion process for faculty members at the rank of Instructor. Topics include selecting an Area of Excellence and Significant Supporting Activities, evaluation criteria, requirements for the dossier, and the Longer Service pathway. We encourage attendees to review relevant sections of the Faculty of Medicine handbook and/or Promotion Profile Library before arriving to better facilitate engagement and allow more time to ask questions. Sessions are not recorded, please plan accordingly.

**Intended Audience:**

- Current HMS/HSDM faculty at the Instructor rank
