BIO Yvette joined the Office for Faculty Affairs in September, 2014. A project manager by nature, she has been responsible for data management, reporting, and budget modeling at a number of academic institutions including Columbia University, Boston University, and Berklee College of Music. She has contributed to developing data management and tracking systems at these institutions and in industry.
Prior to joining our office, she worked in international education and in faculty services, collaborating with faculty in developing tailored programming as Director of BU Global (nka MET International) and in executive operations for the School of Music at Boston University. She also collaborated extensively with faculty at Berklee College of Music on recruitment as Director of Admissions and with deans and department heads as Director of Academic Operations for the Office of the Provost. In these roles she led communications campaigns, developed and perfected reporting and data management tools, and contributed to large-scale system implementation efforts. She developed her technical skills and a flexible approach by working on software localization/development on multiple platforms as a technical translator earlier in her career.
In 2010, Yvette founded a language atelier which provides boutique services on multilingual communication projects. Projects have included translation and editing of medical research articles for Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, Spain and contributions to Boston Children’s Hospital, CareMeridian providers of subacute care rehabilitation facilities, and FriendshipWorks elder care, among others.
Yvette was brought up as a trilingual global and pursued all her schooling at American and British schools around the world until attending university in the US where she obtained her B.S. in Communications. She has continued with graduate level studies in Theatre Arts, with an emphasis on technical design and writing for film.
