Zoom Presentation: Introduction to the HMS CV Generator

Description: This 60-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute Q&A, introduces the HMS/HSDM CV Generator, an online application that helps current HMS and HSDM appointees create, maintain, and securely store their curriculum vitae. Participants will learn how to start a new CV or import an existing CV using the Harvard Faculty of Medicine format, manage their information, and export a properly formatted CV at any time. The session will also review key requirements and best practices for using the CV Generator.

Prerequisites:

• An active Harvard ID number and HarvardKey
• A desktop or laptop computer (the system is not currently optimized for mobile viewing)
• For importing an existing CV, a .docx document following the 2022 Faculty of Medicine pre-formatted template

Intended Audience:

• Current HMS/HSDM faculty, Clinical and Research Fellows, and Associates
• Administrative professionals who assist with faculty CVs

Please note that the CV Generator and Harvard Faculty of Medicine CV format are designed for HMS/HSDM appointments and may not be appropriate for trainees or applications for positions outside of Harvard Faculty of Medicine.
