Enhancing Your Faculty of Medicine CV

This 58-minute presentation provides an in-depth look at the format and content of the Harvard Faculty of Medicine CV, as well as an exploration of the various CV resources available from the Office for Faculty Affairs. Please note: that this CV format is unique to the Harvard Faculty of Medicine and may not be ideal for trainees or for applications for positions outside of the Harvard Faculty of Medicine.

Getting Promoted from Instructor to Assistant Professor

This 55-minute presentation provides an overview of the Assistant Professor promotion process for faculty members at the rank of Instructor. Topics include selecting an Area of Excellence and Significant Supporting Activities, evaluation criteria, requirements for the dossier, and the Longer Service pathway. Getting Promoted from Assistant to Associate Professor

This 47-minute presentation provides an overview of the Associate Professor promotion process at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Topics include selecting an Area of Excellence and Significant Supporting Activities, evaluation criteria, and requirements for the dossier, including best practices for strengthening one's portfolio. Getting Promoted from Associate to Full Professor

This 75-minute presentation is a great introduction to the Full Professor promotion process for faculty members at the rank of Associate Professor currently in an exploratory phase. The presentation focuses on evaluation metrics for each Area of Excellence and tips for preparing the annotated list of their 10 Most Significant Scholarly Works and list of suggested reviewers. It also includes an overview of the Professor of Clinical X pathway, including guidance on preparing the dossier.
